Chart-topping London rappers N-Dubz have brought music and mayhem to West Yorkshire.
Last month's double Mobo award winners have been recording their latest album at the Chairworks recording studio on Morrison Street near Castleford town centre for the past two weeks.
The studio can be seen from the playground of neighbouring Castleford Park Junior School.
Word soon spread among youngsters that Dappy, Tulisa and Fazer, were living and working in town.
Over the weekend dozens of rowdy teenage fans caused problems, boozing in the school playground with some smashing bottles.
Park Junior School head Kathy Levey, said: "Sunday night was horrendous.
"Teenagers not just from Castleford but other areas were on the school playground. I think they must have been having a party because on Monday morning I couldn't allow the children on the playground because there was so much broken glass.
"The playground was an absolute disgrace and the street leading up to the recording studio."
Last week so many youngsters turned up for a glimpse of the group that Morrison Street became jammed with traffic and police were called.
Mrs Levey said things quietened down after the weekend.
"They did come out to the playground and give kids some autographs. Both the band and the studio have been brilliant with our kids."
She added: "We are on really good terms with the recording studio and have helped them in the past for a video shoot with local band 3 Man Bench."
A Morrison street resident said: "The band has been fantastic with the kids.
"They have been giving signed photos, scarves and hats away and have been out playing football. It's just a small minority of local youths who have been drinking too much and smashing bottles."
The group returned to London for a video shoot before travelling back to Castleford to continue recording this weekend.
N-Dubz are said to have been banished to Castleford after being too distracted by the London party scene to get their second album Against All Odds finished before its release date of November 16.
