LIL WAYNE took the stage on Saturday (19Dec09) to perform the show he was forced to cancel after Texas border police allegedly found marijuana on two of his tour buses.
The hip-hop star - real name Dwayne Carter - was travelling to a gig at the Laredo Entertainment Center on Friday (18Dec09) when his tour buses were stopped at a checkpoint by border patrol officers, who allegedly found a stash of marijuana.
He and 11 others were detained on suspicion of drug possession, leaving him no choice but to call off his show at the last-minute.
Carter was questioned and later released without charge - and he made it up to his disappointed fans by rescheduling the axed show just a day later (19Dec09).
A message posted by concert organisers on the Laredo Entertainment Center's website confirms: "The show will go on! Despite any set backs, Lil Wayne has been gracious enough to put on a great show for his Laredo fans and the surrounding communities. Thank you for your continued support and understanding with this matter!"
A lawyer for the Lollipop hitmaker tells TMZ.com the case was deferred to the Brooks County Sheriff's Department, but Carter did not receive a citation.
The rapper's previous brushes with the law have landed him a year-long jail sentence for gun charges which is due to begin in February (10).
He is also scheduled to stand trial in March (09) on unrelated drug possession charges following an arrest in Yuma, Arizona in January 2008
