Candy hit-maker Aggro Santos recently stopped by the MTV HQ with ex-Pussycat Dolls member Kimberly Wyatt for a chat with our urban music blog The Wrap Up. In the interview he got talking about everything from working with the Doll, touring with rapper Pitbull and how he is embracing his Latino heritage more in the music he’s bringing.
The young star also went on to reveal that he is no longer going to make grime music, saying:
“I've pretty much left my grime, grime, grime days behind, but will stay true to it on mixtapes, but when it comes to commercial releases they won't be grime. The reason me and Kimberly are so pleased with the success of ‘Candy’ is that it's literally the start of both of our solo careers. It’s given us a platform and put our names out there in the charts and there’s a lot more to come from us. I'm trying to make it as big a hit as we can and make it last as long as possible. By the end of 2010 there will definitely be more stuff coming from both of us.”
