R&B star Akon is facing a legal battle over an allegedly unpaid bill for construction work at his home in Georgia.
The singer has been accused of failing to hand over $51,000 (£31,875) to a local contracting company for jobs including electrical work on his luxury four-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion.
Bosses at Southern Electric filed a lawsuit at Georgia Superior Court, claiming Akon refused to pay their final invoice, according to Tmz.com.
The website reports they are suing for breach of contract and they want the full $51,000 (£31,875) to be handed over, plus interest.
