Untitled, hailing from Tottenham, London, is a man making his own way in the music industry. A one man flurry of activity from recording to promoting his live shows.
An idea of Untitled’s musical passion unearths when he speaks of his teenage years “I started writing lyrics at 16 for fun with some friends from my college. We used to listen to 2Pac and Nas and thought, "why not express ourselves too". We used to record at my friends house with a sock over the microphone to try to stop the popping noises. It was not until 3 years later that I begun to take music more seriously. I started going to a local pirate radio station. I also started to record tracks at a studio nearby. I completed 2 mixtapes but so far they have remained unreleased.”
2008 saw Untitled first official release when he released his first mixtape, Misconceptions. Word quickly spread about the underground release and Untitled was invited to perform at two events organised by Vader in Amsterdam and judging by the reaction of the packed club word had also spread to an ever increasing fan base.
A year later saw Untitled performing at the London Astoria 2 to just over 500 people at the Biggafish event. At the end of 2009, Untitled decided he wanted to pursue different genres in order to explore his inner self and gain a wider fanbase and he immediately set about finding the producers who could make such varied beats to fulfill him creatively.
As well as performing and recording as a solo artist, Untitled is also part of a music group called Behave Yourself. Their message promotes non violence in communities and have recently launched a Bigcartel website where people can buy merchandise supporting and promoting our message.
Maybe the final word should be left to Untitled when he says “My aim is not to be rich and famous. I get my kicks at seeing people smile when they hear a song that I have made. The idea of someone taking the time to learn your words and repeat them to you when you are performing live is fantastic. I hope that people will support my future releases and projects.”
